Q: Why is there color variation and streaking in my soy candle?
A: Pure soy wax candles are noted to produce color variations and streaking within tinted candles. It is not a defect in the candle. Called frosting or blooming, this is a common characteristic of soy when it is mixed with fragrance oils and tint. It does not affect the burn or scent of the candle, and is actually a confirmation that you have a soy wax candle. In order to keep our candles pure and friendly to our environment, we choose not to use artificial additives or blend with parafin to prevent "frosting" or "blooming".
